Coconut Dulce de Leche

Super simple, crazy delicious, lactose free vegan spread or sauce. What is it? Vegan Dulce de Leche, made with three simple ingredients, and a very basic cooking process - whats more, you can vary it depending on what you want, from a dark rich spread, to a sweet saucy topping for pancakes.


400ml Coconut Milk

2 Tablespoons Coconut Cream

2-3 Tablespoons of raw Coconut Sugar


Take a large, nonstick frying pan and put over a medium heat.

Pour in the coconut milk, coconut cream, and stir with the raw coconut sugar until well mixed. On that heat, stir and reduce until very thick and sticky. At a syrupy consistency, add more sugar to taste. Otherwise, continue to reduce until thick, dark, and spreadable.

Through the process, stir and scrape off the sides and reintegrate. When it comes off the heat, allow to cool and stir vigorously to make sure there are no lumps. Spread on toast, or pour over granola or pancakes.
