Plum and Blueberry Jam, Cream Cheese and Mint Bagel

I’m trying to up my sweets game. So, I’m starting with something not so sweet. I’ve got a plum and blueberry jam, no added sugar, cream cheese on a bagel with a mint and nutmeg. Recipes don’t get much simpler than this. A little snack, you’ve got to do it!


2 Bagels

100g Cream Cheese

1 Cup Frozen Blueberries

3 Plums, chopped and stones removed

Couple of Sprigs of Mint, finely chopped

Fresh Nutmeg


Sunflower Seeds

Pumpkin Seeds


In a pot with a cup of water on a medium heat, simmer and reduce the blueberries and plum until they break down into a paste. Keep reducing and stirring until it becomes a thick paste (around 25mins)

Cut the bagels in half, toast in a toaster or in a sandwich press. Spread cream cheese on the bagels once toasted.

Dollop with the hot jam, and sprinkle with the mint and a few of the seeds.Lightly grate nutmeg over the top for a little extra pop.
