Slow Cook Porridge

Slowly cooked milk has a creaminess and a sweetness to it that is just so moreish. That, coupled with a tasty High Protein Muesli and fresh strawberries, you've got a symphony of flavour and texture. The recipe today is technique and temperature control. Let's get underway.

Tools

- Pot

- Spatula or Wooden Spoon

- Sharp Knife

Ingredients

- 1/2 Cup Quick Oats

- 1 1/2 Cups of Full Milk

- High Protein Muesli, or for international subscribers, a natural muesli.

- Fresh Strawberries, or other berries like blueberries.

Method

Pour the oats into the pot, combine with the milk, and cook on a very low heat until thick. It'll evaporate slowly. Through that you'll end up with a milk-sweet and creamy porridge.

Now, if you want to go further than this, you can - if you keep cooking and stirring, you'll start to caramelized the milk and end up with dulce de leche with porridge, which sounds absolutely delicious and thick. I'll try this another time.

For now, serve with muesli on top and fresh berries for nutrition and a delightful texture.

Enjoy!
